The ReStore sells new and gently used home improvement items to the public for a fraction of retail prices. All proceeds from the ReStore go to Habitat for Humanity of South Central MN (HFHSCMN) to help provide affordable housing in our community.

HFHSCMN anticipates increasing house production by one home per year within the next five years with funds generated solely by the ReStore.
The Mankato store began as an idea in 2004. A committee was formed to explore the feasibility of a store here and quickly concluded that Mankato/North Mankato was very ready for a ReStore. The committee then spent two years trying to secure the proper location and building. After looking closely at over a dozen sites, land was secured on Bassett Drive. The blessing and groundbreaking took place in the fall of 2006. Volunteers, professional contractors and HFH staff worked through the winter and we moved our offices and store into our building in May of 2007.
The building contains the HFHSCMN affiliate offices, the ReStore and a small warehouse. We will be eternally grateful to the many donors of labor, materials and funding who made our beautiful building possible! Our ReStore opened its doors on June 7, 2007.
